The Pillar Internet text-message program
Pillar Internet · Disclosure version 2026-08-05.3 · Effective August 4, 2026
Pillar Internet is a residential internet provider in Wichita, Kansas. Customers who opt in receive recurring automated service texts about their order, installation, service activation, service status and outages, account, billing, and customer support. The program sends no advertising or promotional messages.
How a customer opts in
During online signup at app.pillarinternet.com, the customer enters their mobile number and sees the consent card below. The checkbox is unchecked by default, is never pre-selected, and is not required. Checkout completes exactly the same way with it unchecked. The same card, with the same wording, is offered once on the post-purchase activation page and in the customer's authenticated resident portal, where texts can also be turned off at any time.
See it live: the signup page for one of our buildings. Choosing any unit reaches the step that shows this card.
Customers can also opt in by texting JOIN to (316) 500-6868. This is a double opt-in: JOIN earns a welcome message stating the program, message frequency, rates, HELP and STOP instructions, and links to the Terms and Privacy pages, and the enrollment completes only when the customer replies with a clear yes (YES, Y, OK, or plain words like "sign me up"), which earns the confirmation message.
The printed invitation (campaign collateral)
Every door hanger, letter, or poster inviting the JOIN keyword carries this exact block, so the full disclosure travels on the paper:
Updates and support, by text — text JOIN to (316) 500-6868. By texting JOIN you agree to receive recurring automated service text messages from Pillar Internet about your order, installation, service, outages, account, billing, and support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to purchase. We'll text you a welcome message — reply YES to complete enrollment. Terms: https://app.pillarinternet.com/terms · Privacy: https://app.pillarinternet.com/privacy
The exact consent card
This is the live component, rendered from the same published disclosure version customers see (the checkbox below is inert, because this page is documentation, not a form):
By checking this box you agree to receive recurring automated service texts from Pillar Internet at this number, about your order, installation and service visits, service status and outages, account, billing, and support. Frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to purchase. Terms · Privacy
As it appears at checkout
Captured automatically from a seeded demonstration environment (no customer data) on 2026-08-05, under disclosure version 2026-08-05.3. The platform re-photographs these screens by itself whenever the published wording changes, and alerts its operator if they ever fall behind the live version. The wording of record is always the live card above.
The other two opt-in surfaces
The same card, same wording, same unchecked default. Left: the post-purchase activation page, offered once, showing the exact number from the completed order. Right: the customer's authenticated resident portal, where texts turn on or off at any time. A different number requires its own new permission.
